Note 2 will directly be updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Monday, July 22, 2013

We have some bad news and some good news forSamsung Galaxy Note 2 consumers. The bad news is that Samsung will not be rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Note 2, and the good news is that the company will directly allow you to update your devices to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead.
If you though that Samsung was busy working on the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 3 and has been avoiding the Galaxy Note 2, then now is the time to think about it again. If you are a Galaxy Note 2 consumer, and were wondering why the Samsung did not release the Android 4.2.2 update for your device, then we most probably have the answer for you.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Samsung is planning to update its Galaxy Note 2 phablet to Android 4.3 directly, skipping Android 4.2.2 completely. This news has not been officially confirmed by Samsung but we do have a good amount of proof for the same. An Australian carrier company named Telstra has received a confirmation saying that the Samsung Galaxy Note II 4G model will skip Android 4.2.2 and will be directly updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The official statement from Telstra’s support page says:
‘Samsung have elected globally to skip the 4.2.2 update for this device and will instead go to a newer version of Android. No schedule has been provided for this update.’
There is a small catch here; the update mentioned in the statement is applicable to the 4G model of GalaxyNote 2. This means that the update is applicable for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105, but has not been confirmed for N7100. The good part is that there seems to be no regional restriction and limitation, meaning that the update will be applicable to Galaxy Note 2 devices all over the world.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most remarkable and widely used Android smart devices in the world. It is being said that the device will also be capable of receiving the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie update, courtesy of its powerful hardware configuration and reputation.
In addition to the upcoming Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 3 on the 4th of September, just before IFA kicks off in Berlin, Germany. The device is expected to have a 5.7-inch full HD display and will run on Android 4.3 right out of the box. If the rumors are correct, the Galaxy Note 3 could also be the first ever smartphone to be equipped with 3GB of RAM.
