After many rumors, leaked images and speculations, finally we get the official release date of this Moto Xsmartphone. We already knew that this device will make its debut this year but we weren’t sure when or where. We saw a report earlier saying that we might see it on August 23 and few days ago, there was a rumor saying this device will be launched on July 24. As you can see, there are few possible release dates but this new report shows that this Google-owned company is set to announce its newest product on August 1.
This conclusion came after Motorola sent press invitations offering them opportunity to experience its new smartphone device. The launch won’t come out in front of a big crowd or a stage, instead it will be revealed in front of several small groups. It seems Motorola and Google don’t want to raise so much dust over it and leave the device to speak for itself. From the rumors, we could see that this Moto X smartphone has something nice to offer and the present smartphone leaders could be easily threatened by it.
Dennis Woodside, Motorola CEO, shared few details related to this phone. It will be capable to “read” your surroundings and would operate differently depending on the environment. This company has always been good at managing the power on its devices, but Woodside now unveils that they are especially good with sensors now. This phone will know when it’s in your pocket or hand and as Woodside said: “It will know when you want to take a picture”.
According to the leaked images and speculations, we expect this phone to have a support for “always-on voice commands” that will hear everything you say. It will be powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and feature a 10-mpix main camera. This smartphone would represent the first device coming out of Google and Motorola collaboration. This phone will be fully manufactured in the U.S at a facility located in Texas. Sources claim that this facility was used for creating Nokia phones.
If you didn’t know by now, Google has purchased Motorola in May last year and since then Google hasn’t used any of Motorola’s power to produce a high-end device. This is the right time for introducing new smartphone. I’m really looking forward with what both companies have come up to this time.
